About the Owner

Owner/Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Mandy Murray is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and the Owner at East Coast Behavioral Services.  Introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis in 2010, Mandy quickly discovered a passion for helping individuals with disabilities.

Mandy wants the children, adults, and families she works with to feel understood, supported, and valued. She takes time to get to know each person—their interests, strengths, and what makes them unique—and brings warmth and patience to making learning meaningful and enjoyable.

She enjoys getting to know what people love to do and finding ways to have fun, share a laugh, and connect along the way.

Mandy believes that trust and connection are the foundation of effective treatment. She pays close attention to changes in behavior and the environment, looking for what someone may be communicating and what support they need. Her approach centers on helping individuals express their needs, build relationships, navigate changes, and participate safely in their homes, schools, and communities. When a new experience or skill presents a challenge, Mandy offers encouragement and adjusts her teaching to support progress at a pace that respects the individual.

Since entering the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2010, Mandy has worked with children and adults in homes, residential group homes, schools, and community settings. Her experience includes supporting individuals diagnosed with autism, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, fetal alcohol syndrome, fragile X syndrome, Angelman syndrome, Tourette syndrome, reactive attachment disorder, and personality disorders. Across these experiences, she has remained committed to understanding each person beyond a diagnosis and developing individualized care around their strengths, needs, and priorities.

Family collaboration is central to Mandy’s work. She listens to caregivers, welcomes their perspectives, and helps them develop practical strategies they can use in everyday life. She values goals that matter to the individual and family, with an emphasis on communication, connection, and greater independence.

Mandy founded East Coast Behavioral Services in 2024 to bring these values into every part of her practice. Hardworking and dedicated, she takes her responsibility to both clients and staff personally. She works to create an environment where staff feel heard, supported, and equipped to provide thoughtful, high-quality care. She believes that caring for the people who deliver services is an essential part of caring for the families who receive them.

Mandy earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2010, followed by her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. She became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2015. Originally from Orlando, she moved to Port Orange in 2018 with her husband, a Professional Engineer, and their two very active children. Outside of work, Mandy enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, playing chess, and being with her family.
